Today I tried drinking tea with milk in it, British style. My flatmate suggested it and I thought, “why not.” Let me just say, it was delicious. Now I can’t imagine drinking tea without it! I’d always imagined that adding cold milk to hot tea would make the milk curdle and become really gross. But it didn’t and turned out to be a very pleasant experience. I also learned that the British only drink milk with tea and never cream; cream is for coffee. So being open to new experiences pays off. Not to mention this is one of the (many) benefits of having a fabulous (British) flatmate!
